Job Description
To drive retail parts sales and provide professional, technically informed service to retail customers, independent workshops, technicians, and trade customers. The Senior Retail Parts Salesman is responsible for identifying customer requirements, accurately sourcing and quoting parts, converting enquiries into sales, maintaining strong customer relationships, and supporting the Parts Manager with the effective operation of the retail sales function.

Requirements
- Matric.
- Higher Certificates and/or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates.
- 3- 5 years' experience as a parts sale's executive, with a proven track record.
Responsibilities
- Conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy.
- Correctly place such items in stores
- Ensure accurate identification of customer’s needs by means of arts catalogues, computer stock lists.
- Implementation of discount structure as applicable
- Assist all company staff in parts identification and if required, replacements.
- Assist in training new parts persons.
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation, requisitions are properly recorded within stock control system.
- Ensure that all credit sales are made to an authorised signatory of approved account.
- Keep all parts catalogues, manufactures lists, etc. updated and tidy.
- Ensure Warehouse Manager is kept aware of stock movement.
- Notify Warehouse Manager of any difference noted when inspecting incoming goods.
- Maintain good helpful relationships with all customers and their representatives.
- Assist if required in any marketing activity as required.
- Ensure all transactions take place according to company policy. Ensure security of all payment received.
- Ensure that the highest level of CSI is achieved.
- Conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy.
- Ensure the accurate identification of the customer needs.
- Always adhere to the discount policy.
- Give correct estimates and up-sell to workshop customers.
- Sell parts and accessories. Carrying out of all reasonable instructions/duties given to you by any member of management, from time to time.
- Required to do marketing, cold calling, visiting new and existing customers, opening new accounts, maintaining and retaining customers.
