Job Description
We are looking for a Sales Administrator to join our team and provide strong administrative and operational support to our sales team. The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the sales process organised, ensuring client information is accurate, assisting with reporting and proposals, and helping the sales team deliver an excellent client experience.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, detail-oriented, confident with clients and comfortable working with Excel, presentations, CRM systems and multiple tasks at once.
The Sales Administrator will support the sales team with the day-to-day administration and coordination required to keep sales activities running efficiently. This includes preparing presentations and proposals, managing client information, generating reports, assisting with new client setups, testing leads and providing ongoing support to both the sales team and clients.
The role will also involve identifying opportunities to improve sales processes and procedures, contributing ideas and participating in concepts and think-tank sessions to improve the way the sales team operates. This role reports to the National Account Manager and is based in KZN.

Requirements
- Previous experience in sales administration, sales support, customer service or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident communicating with both clients and internal teams.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint/Presentations.
- Experience working with CRM systems or other customer management platforms.
- Ability to compile, analyse and present sales information and reports.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting a wider sales team.
- Strong time-management skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and find practical solutions.

- Working hours: Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00, Friday: 07:30 – 15:30.

- Salary: R10 000 – R13 000 per month (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the sales team and sales representatives.
- Prepare sales presentations, proposals, quotations and supporting documentation.
- Gather and compile market research and sales information to support the sales team.
- Prepare and maintain sales status reports, sales performance reports and Excel-based analytics.
- Track sales performance, lead conversion, revenue forecasts and other key sales metrics.
- Create and send quotations, proposals and sales contracts to clients.
- Assist the sales team in developing compelling proposals that address client requirements.
- Develop and maintain sales procedures and contribute to new sales concepts and think-tank initiatives.
- Provide clients with accurate product, promotion and pricing information.
- Handle client enquiries, requests and concerns via phone, email and other communication channels.
- Follow up with clients after sales to gather feedback and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist with resolving client queries and issues promptly and professionally.
- Set up new client accounts and ensure all required information is captured correctly.
- Test leads and systems as part of the client onboarding and handover process.
- Coordinate the successful handover of new clients to the relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client, lead and sales information within the CRM.
- Assist with tracking sales activities, contacts, leads and customer records.
- Check and process expense reports where required.
- Assist with business travel arrangements and other administrative requirements for management.
- Keep sales documentation, presentations and reports organised and up to date.
- Work closely with the sales team and other internal departments to ensure information is communicated accurately.
- Continuously look for ways to improve sales administration processes and efficiency.
- Stay up to date with relevant systems, tools, Excel functionality, presentation techniques and sales processes.
