Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive sales (new car sales preferred).
- Matric (Grade 12) minimum qualification
- further education in sales or marketing is an advantage.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in computer systems and CRM software.
- Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to work under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in the showroom and on the lot.
- Understand customer needs and recommend suitable vehicles.
- Offer test drives and explain features, specs, and benefits of new models.
- Achieve and exceed monthly new car sales targets.
- Prospect for new clients through cold calling, referrals, online leads, and walk-ins.
- Follow up with prospects using CRM tools and maintain a solid lead pipeline.
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fuelled, and ready for test drives or handovers.
- Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Deliver sold vehicles to customers and explain features and warranty information.
- Maintain updated knowledge of available models, finance options, promotions, and trade-in values.
- Assist with stock checks and showroom floor maintenance.
- Prepare daily sales reports and maintain detailed records of customer interactions.
- Work closely with the Finance & Insurance (F&I) department to finalize deals.
- Coordinate with service and delivery teams to ensure smooth transactions.
- Support marketing initiatives and dealership events.
