Requirements

  • Qualified Motor Mechanic with a recognized trade certificate.
  • Master Technician certification from a vehicle manufacturer (preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of automotive workshop experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of modern vehicle systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Advanced fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with manufacturer diagnostic tools and software.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy and experience with workshop management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair advanced mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, apprentices, and workshop staff.
  • Perform complex troubleshooting using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software.
  • Conduct quality control inspections on completed repairs.
  • Assist with difficult technical cases and customer concerns.
  • Perform software updates, programming, and vehicle system calibrations.
  • Ensure compliance with manufacturer repair procedures and warranty requirements.
  • Liaise with manufacturer technical support when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate service records and technical reports.
  • Support workshop productivity and efficiency targets.
